About EDCDi

A vibrant community
of women and girls

Enugwu-Ukwu Daughters Community Development Initiative (EDCDI)—a vibrant community of women and girls with Enugwu-Ukwu parentage dedicated to personal growth, mutual support, and transformational impact.

Through love, sisterhood, and collaborative action, we are building a stronger, more self-reliant Enugwu-Ukwu.

EDCDI is a female-focused NGO comprising women and girls of Enugwu-Ukwu parentage. We empower our women and youth to adopt an integrative lifestyle—a daily commitment to personal growth by continuously improving their spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

We encourage intentional efforts toward:

  • Building healthy relationships and marriages.

  • Improving financial stability to meet needs and desires.

  • Discovering and living with purpose to become assets to families and society.

Our Mission

  • Foster sisterly love and support in both joyful and challenging times.

  • Collaborate with like-minded individuals and groups to execute impactful projects in Enugwu-Ukwu.

Recent Impact: EDCDI Food & Ankara Outreach

We recently distributed EDCDI Food Packs to indigent widows and gifted beautiful ankara fabrics to the elderly. Each food pack contained:

  • Rice

  • Beans

  • Groundnut oil

  • Palm oil

  • Garri

HRM Okpueze Dorothy Ekpe graced the occasion. Additionally, two elderly beneficiaries from each of the 18 villages in Enugwu-Ukwu went home smiling with their Ankara gifts. The event was filled with joy, dancing, and singing.

Upcoming Initiative: EDCDI Widow Agro Empowerment Program

We seek contributions from kind-hearted individuals (women, men, and youths) to sponsor 500 widows (selected from the 18 villages) for our Agro Empowerment Program. This initiative will provide:

  • Training in organic agro-cultivation.

  • Investment support to help widows become self-reliant.

(Detailed program outline available on request.)

Call for Collaboration

Enugwu-Ukwu is rich in human and material resources. To maximize our impact, we advocate for:

  • unified monthly contribution system among all Enugwu-Ukwu impact organizations.

  • Partnerships with credible NGOs to uplift the less privileged.

We welcome collaborations to create more smiles in our community.
